Working demo · Morning briefing

Know what matters before you open the inbox.

Every morning it reads the inbox, the calendar and the open work, then tells you three things: who is waiting on you, what you are waiting on, and what actually matters today. Nothing goes out until you approve it.

Real interface, invented company. Meridian Air & Plumbing doesn't exist. Every name, invoice and thread is made up, so you can click through the whole thing without me putting a real client's inbox on the internet. The buttons work. Approve a draft, then ask it something in the last tab.

Denise Roubaud · Roubaud Property Group

Wants the revised quote for the Carlton Ave building, six rooftop units. Says she needs it before her board meeting Thursday.
Why this is first: $41,200 open quote, she's your third largest account by revenue, and she's asked twice. Your average reply time to her is 4 hours. This one is at 19.
Draft, waiting on your approval
Denise, revised quote attached. Six RTU replacements, staged over two weekends so you don't lose a full business day. Two changes since v1: the Carrier units came down $2,800 and I added the condensate line rework you asked about. Good through Sep 12. Call me if the board wants it broken out differently.
Marcus Vega · New lead, web form
sent 2 hrs ago
Commercial kitchen make-up air unit, restaurant on Orange Blossom Trail. Wants someone out this week.
Why this matters: your form-to-first-reply average is 6 hours, and leads answered inside 1 hour close at roughly triple the rate. This one is still inside the window.
Ruben Ortiz · Field tech

On site at Fairhaven Senior Living. Compressor is dead, not repairable. Asking whether to quote a replacement now or wait for you.
Context pulled: Fairhaven is on the quarterly maintenance agreement, which covers diagnostics but not replacement. Last compressor you quoted them was $6,400 and they approved same day.
Angela Pham · Pham & Associates CPA

Asking whether the Q3 service agreement renewal is still at last year's rate.
Flagged because it's been sitting three days and it's a renewal, not a question. Renewals that go quiet past a week churn at about four times the rate.
You asked, they haven't answered
Coastal Supply · Parts order #88214
7 days, no reply
You asked for a ship date on the two RTU curbs for the Carlton job.
This one blocks the Carlton install, which is scheduled for Aug 24. If the curbs slip past the 20th the crew stands around.
Tyler Grimes · Invoice #4471
34 days past due
$3,890. Two reminders sent, both opened, no reply.
Pattern flagged: Tyler has paid late on four of his last five invoices, average 41 days. He does pay. He just doesn't pay until someone calls.
Danielle (insurance broker)
5 days, no reply
You asked for the updated COI naming Roubaud Property Group as additional insured.
Needed before the Carlton crew can badge in. Not blocking yet. Becomes blocking Aug 20.
On the calendar
8:00 AM
Crew dispatch
Four trucks out. Ruben still at Fairhaven, so the Windermere PM slides to Thursday.
10:30 AM
Walkthrough: Carlton Ave rooftop
With Denise's building engineer. She hasn't seen the revised quote yet.
1:00 PM
Interview: service tech
Second of three. Résumé and your notes from the first call are attached.
3:30 PM
Vendor call: Coastal Supply
You booked this before the parts order went quiet. Worth raising #88214 while you have them.
Commitments you made
Due today
Send Fairhaven the maintenance report for July
You promised it "early next week" in an email nine days ago.
These pushed to your phone at 6:14 AM, before the briefing
Fairhaven Senior Living · No cooling, 3rd floor
pushed 6:14 AM
Facilities manager called the after-hours line at 5:52 AM. 84°F in the third floor common area. Residents are elderly.
Escalated immediately instead of waiting for the 7 AM briefing because it matched a standing rule: senior living + no cooling + occupied = page, don't queue. That rule lives in always-applied instructions, not in retrieval, so it can't get missed on a bad run.
Payment failed · Wexler Dental, autopay
pushed 6:14 AM
$1,240 monthly agreement charge declined. Card on file expired Aug 1.
Pushed rather than queued because a failed autopay silently becomes a 30-day receivable if nobody catches it in the first 48 hours. Nothing was sent to the client automatically. Money touching a client always waits for you.

I built the first version for my own work and I read it every morning. Nothing that can't be undone happens without your approval, and every action is logged.
